By default, we use end-to-end encryption to secure your data. This means that your messages and publications are encrypted at all times. They are also transmitted in encrypted format between our servers and your devices.

Signal Protocol & Open Source cryptographic libraries
HyWebOS’s security protocol was based on the protocol found in Open Whisper Systems Signal application, with our own proprietary implementation and additions. Furthermore, along with Signal Protocol, all of the cryptographic libraries we use are open source (among others AES and RSA). By using open source libraries, we can guarantee that the encryption algorithms we are using do not have clandestinely built in back doors.
Secure Cloud Processing
Most of collaborative platforms offer data encryption "at rest and in transit". They claim to be secure, but repeatedly decrypt your messages and publications while processing in the cloud. They therefore expose data and files in clear text in the cloud, which makes them in those moments very vulnerable.
In contrast, HyWebOS offers true end-to-end encryption. In the event that our cloud service is breached, your data remains encrypted and your private keys remain secure because they have never been present in the cloud. Therefore, neither HyWebOS nor anyone else can see your data, unlike the vast majority of collaborative platforms.

Absolute confidentiality in the treatment of your data
Unlike some collaborative platforms, we do not read any of your messages or listen to your audio or video calls, and we do not record metadata such as IP addresses used to log into your account.
Perhaps more importantly, since we have no way of reading encrypted messages or posts, we don't have access to them, which means nothing you share can be used by HyWebOS or third parties to target you with advertisements later. Plus, we use end-to-end encryption by default, so no need to go out of your way to enable it.
Finally, and since we are convinced that privacy is a fundamental right, we have created a unique ecosystem whose mission is to guarantee the highest confidentiality of your data. And it's following this commitment with the firm objective of contributing to a more privacy-friendly Internet that we have also decided to implement the Privacy 3.0 standard, making it impossible to sell your personal data.
